The pictures you quoted are a 1st Gen :notsure:

I know Adam (dirty dangler) built some cross-braces for Matt's truck but that was alot simpler since there was no diff, not sure I know of any other 4WD trucks with that kind of bracing.

RJ might be able to get away with tubing as well since he's 2WD,:notsure:

But either way some reinforcement should be done!

sort of, on the 4x4s its pretty difficult to tie the LCA mounts together and not interfere with the axles while keeping ground clearance acceptable. His ties the front two cross members together on 1" 4130 and is completely removable so we can still drop the front diff if need be

    ...too much shit to list.
Wish you would have passed that little bit of information off to me when I bought my kit and was a complete LT newb. I would have bought heimed uppers to start with. :(

Ah well...just something to plan for in the future.

I should have something put together by the Pismo trip on my truck.

Not sure about Camburg's lowers but do they have a direction side, driver/passenger?

Yes, I can't see that being the reason (assuming they figured that out).

Yeah they do have a labeled direction side..

Hope everyone had a fun day! Saw Flogging Molly and had a blast even though I was sick to my stomach when we first got there from stressing myself out about running into a girl I didn't want to see there. Sat under a tree with a beer and chilled out and the day turned around. More beer later met some cool people and a chick and listen to great music. They put on a great show. Much needed fun night out. I can't stop smiling. Now to work four nights and then off to Vegas for the Mint 400. If you're there swing by the SDHQ booth and say hello. I'm the short skinny guy.

Ya I knew it's a 1st gen ;) and Adam and I have been talking but just trying to get some ideas to add to his mad scientist way of thinking, I'm sure he'll come up with something for me.

Any pics or build thread, or anything?

Hiemmed uppers would be nice huh. Dude what's ur ideas pm me if it's not top secret :) Adams gonna be starting mine soon, before pismo. Hoping to incorporate some sort of cross member or support with skid for diff.

What I was planning is for LCA mount bracing:
I am just going to add tabs to the backside of the LCA mount and bolt them to my ALLPro skid If that makes sense. I figured I already have a removable piece of plate under my truck why not integrate. The skid already sits tight to the LCA mounts so there wont be much involved.

Does that sound like that will be enough though?

As long as it is a structural part anything it is better than nothing.

Build thread in sig... 4-link long travel
for anyone who rebuilds their own shocks..... i'm assuming seals are shock/brand speciffic, but are shims pretty much interchangable between companies? i only have experience with icons, but am planning on getting a set of kings when i build the rear this summer. just wondering which parts are proprietary and which parts are universal.
