The connector on my antenna wire was too large to go through the cab hole so I went through one of the grommets in the floor.

how big was your connector and how big was the grommet??

my grommet is like maybe an inch wide...and the coax terminal was definately smaller than that...i just punched a hole in the rubber...squeezed it thru and kept going

I didn't measure it, but it JUST wouldn't fit in the smaller grommets. I think I remember seeing some cb antenna wire that had smaller connectors, but this is just the one I got. Also, maybe there is a difference with the grommets between the 1st and 2nd gens... Don't know...

Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
i went between the cab and bed, through the passenger side frame rails, through a rubber grommet under the passenger seat, under the carpet to the bottom door trim, up that trim to the kick panel, up and behind the glove box, to where my cb was located on the drivers side center console....but after it gets inside the cab, its all up to where the cb is mounted

I looked at those too... Those were the ones that were just a hair too small. I guess I have some sort of mutant antenna...

well what i did was make a hole that would be snug against the outside of the wire and manhandled the connector through it. fits damn snug w/ no probs
