Installed the Redline hood struts I got on the group buy 2 flipping years ago. It's nice not having to use the hood prop. I can open the hood with one finger now, and won't have to work around the darn thing.

That's good. That was one thing I never liked about the stock suspension was how soft it was in the front. I'll bet it's nice to get rid of some of that!

    Nice mod,

definitely something that I would consider doing. Is there a write-up on it or pretty straight forward?

was going to smoke the inside of my head lights but i started to late. didnt have time to do the over thing and paint and put my grill all back together before the rain. so i just tinted the outer part while i had it all taken apart.

Thanks. It comes with detailed instructions and is pretty basic. I believe you can go to the Redline website and watch a video, too. You need to take time prepping for hole drilling and paying attention to detail and fit, and you need a rivet tool.

One thing that ticked me off is that to drill the bottom bracket holes correctly, you really need an angle drill because the hood impairs drill clearance. Of course, no one bothers to say or show this.

I had to relocate my washer fluid line with a different barb fitting because it was going to be destroyed when the hood closes.

setting up locks would be pretty simple i think. Its gonna go on the front half of my bed rack infront of the tent i think.

And sadly..i got it from my dad. Who got if from his best friend back when he used to run an outdoor/army surplus store...i have looked high and low for a second one and sadly have not been able to find one.

    I LOVE the size tho.

Yea...idk man..i think it might still go back on..either that or i need to so some touch up painting. Drivers side corning is the worse with some surface rust.

Also noticed today i have quite a few chips outa the bed liner off the front bumper. I need to take it off and put on like 4 more coats i think.

It would make the perfect beer cooler!

id just have to take a wire brush the the thing and get all the bed liner off.

But i don't think any place local to me can do something this big. plus..would cost like 200+ out here im sure.

75w-90 GL5 in the diffs, and I put Redline MT90 in the trans (manual) and tcase of mine (it's 75w-90 GL4)

For the trans and tcase, the way we did it was take the shifters off and just pour it in. once it starts comin out the fill hole stop pouring it in from the top.
