    Rob:
Yup this Saturday will be a lot of little chores. Clean out upstairs hall clost and paint. Remove bi-folding doors to get ready for a normal type door install on Monday. I also have to paint 4 new shelfs that I plan to install in the closet. I put the primer on the shelfs yesterday.

I also plan to weed the back yard gardens and turn the mulch. I have a lot of pond work to do starting next week. I already ordered the materials I need from the pond store I use and they should be here on Monday. This involves mocing close to 2 tons of rocK. Maybe I can con Keith into helping. LOL

Plan on washing the truck if I have time this afternoon.

Yup, pictures would be great! I downloaded the instructions from Firestone's site but some actual photos would clear up a couple of questions I have. Thanks.

Our weather is supposed to warm up a little and if I can finish re-covering the wings in the garage this week maybe I can even work on the Tacoma indoors where things are handy. I like working close to the coffee pot in the winter and close to the refrigerator in the summer. :)

You guys are making me tired just reading your to-do lists! Although, I've washed both cars, and did some touch-up work in my upstairs. Taking a break. Before I go back to work, I think I'll take another look at how my Spruce Mica Tacoma shines in the sun for St Patty's day.
    Enjoy your weekends!

55 bags of mulch loaded on the truck...loaded off the truck and spread around Mighty Mortgage Manor.

Got some break free while I was out, soaked that bolt....and still can't budge it. Time for the experts. Luckily, I don't need it - the hitch kit has a longer replacement bolt to use.

Me thinks the kettle is calling the pot black here. Seems like you did a lot today.

Normally I let the bolt soak for 24 hours if it still wont budge after an hour or two. Reapply the PB blaster later on this afternoon and try to remove it tomorrow in the after church.

Time for me to take a shower and see if the wife and son want to go out to dinner. Did everything I set out to do today plus made a to do list for garden work. :(

Good idea, Tom. I think I'll go out and soak it down again.

evening all: looks like spring has sprung. everyones busy with projects.
i've had pretty good luck with PB blaster also. usually start soaking a few days before attempting to remove the bolt. sometime a little heat, from a propane torch does wonders, and is required. seems that stuff really creeps when a little heat is used.

Good morning everyone!! Looks to be another beautiful early srping day here in northeast PA. Foggy right now but it should burn off by late morning.

I've got a few projects to do around the farm today. Might take another whack at that darn bolt this afternoon.

I forgot to mention that, just after having 35 bags of mulch loaded in the back of the Taco yesterday morning......the battery crapped out. I had to jump it last weekend but thought it just mightbe the fact that it had been sitting in the barn. Then, I needed to jump it yesterday morning again and I knew it was headed south. So, after getting a jump from the guy who runs the True-Value where I get my mulch, I headed home, pulled the battery and went to the local Auto Zone and bought a new battery.

I guess I can't complain - this was the original OEM battery in my 2004 Tacoma. Since it only had 27,000 miles on it last summer when I bought it...and all of the original parts..I knew I'd be replacing things before long. So far, I've put on new tires and a battery - thinking I'll need to do the brakes when the inspection comes up.

Morning "6" ... seven to nine years is pretty good on the original battery and tires get bad with age; but I wouldn't be too sure on needing the brakes ... I'd inspect them first. To my knowledge they don't really deteriorate with age. Maybe front pads might need replacement. :notsure: I usually go through 2 sets of front pads to one set of rear drums on my vehicles previous to the Taco...still all original on my truck at 62K and they were in good shape when I looked at them in October during changeover to winter tires. FWIW ... Good luck on that darn bolt!

    Have a great day! --Rob

Looks like another nice day in Erie PA. Chance of scattered showers but warm. Would like to put tonneau on truck, then do some yard work. One of the best yard work toys I purchased a few years ago was a Homelite blower/vacuum. On Vacuum mode it sucks up leaves, chops them up and puts them in bag. Still hard work though, might have to stop and have a beer or two. You fellas and gals outside of Pennsylvania know what Yuengling is?

morning all: my fishing buddy bought another boat yesterday. WHAT A MESS! it sat outside for 10 yrs. and has about 3" of sticks, leaves, and whatever in it. but, believe it or not, the aluminum didn't seem to be affected. it's a lowe roughneck, with the tunnel hull, and a evinrude 35 HP jet outboard. he'll probablly clean it up, get everything working, and sell it. should be good for about a $2K profit.

Good morning! Woke up to about two inches of snow on the ground. Just right for being scenic and not enough to be a PITA. We're about 2300 MSL and we usually don't get a lot of the white stuff.
On up the hill, though it's a different story. I have to go check some logging roads later today and that means tire chains and the BIG coffee thermos.
In the meantime, there's a good fire in the stove and I'm kicking back.

So many beers and brewers, and so little time. A few years ago my son got me a "beer of the month" club subscription for a year I believe. Every month, I got a twelve pack assortment of beer from all over the world, it was great!
