I wanted to see how it wold look if I painted my wheels so I did a quick Photoshop. Let me know if you guys think I should do it. And, if so, I'm sure there is a best practices for wheel painting on here some where maybe someone could direct me to it.

I'm doing it this weekend! If I get ambitious I'll do a quick write of my experience. Decided to go with the satin black finish. Thanks for all the feedback!

Not really sure, I don't see a lot of them especially not 4x4s.

Jason, if you haven't already done them, have you thought about bedliner? my truck and off road trailer wheels are both bedlined (rustoleum aerosol). holds up like nothing else, nice satin-matte finish, and you even get a very light texture (think 120 grit sand paper)

Just scuff them up with a scotchbright pad, and wipe them clean with a rag and some brake cleaner. They'll dry off when you're taping off the tires (i only taped over the side of the tire that faces out). Then just spray away. Did two coats on mine and they hold up great, even while wheeling.
