$27,563 cash money. i asked the salesman for a free t-shirt or a cozy, or something, and he looked suprised. really, i'm giving you top dollar on this truck in cash and you don't have anyway to thank me? he looked around his office as an after thought, found 2 key chains and said "here you go". really???????????????????

He might not have been very exuberant - apparently without the financing, warranties & other junk, new vehicle sales actually don't make much money for the dealer. (They actually lost a few bucks on my purchase price, hard as that may be to imagine...)

Still, you'd think they could do a T-shirt! (I would probably hold out for a coffee mug. :D)

I paid like low 17 out the door for my 06 in July of 2010. Had it paid off in about a year. My wife and I put most of our tax return towards it, I sold my 00 taco, 2k out of savings, and just paid as much as we could afford instead of the min. Glad I did because I have no job now, lol.

they don't lose money..invoice pricing is staged, BS...true cost is much less given all the free vehicles the OEMs give the dealers based on volume

I have about 8,000 left, only pay $219 a month, but I am at the process of throwing a thousand dollars to my bank to pay it a lot faster.

The new one (coming in to the dealer in a week) will be paid off in 11 months. $2800 per month!

Paying interest is *always* worse than earning it, no matter how low the rate is.
