Will 285's fit on DC 4x4?

I'm buying a 4x4 double cab by the end of summer and I want to start buying my general grabbers now so I don't spend my money on anything else But will 285/75/17 fit on the Tacoma?

 

There will be some rubbing.

 

Search that size there is a ton of threads that will guide you.

 

First, I think you meant either 285/75R16, or 285/70R17.

This size is typically fitted on a truck with a 3" lift and considerable wheelwell trimming of plastic, if not a cab mount chop.

Sorry, man, to say this but it is just really dumb to buy tires before you even own the truck they're going to go on, for several reasons.

Save your money towards the truck itself, or pay down your credit card debt with the money you have in hand.

"Some rubbing" applies to 285/75-16.

 

Well I've got a 91 pickup I'm restoring and a 05 reg cab I'm going to sell to put a down payment for my truck that's why I was thinking about buying the tires now so I don't waist my money on stupid stuff?

 

Buy a lift first. No way you can fit those.

Get the truck first before you spend the money modding it....

 

I agree, put more down on the truck. Pay it off quicker and then mod away.

 

Dude they won't fit (at least stock they won't)...and don't buy them b4 you have the truck trust me lol

That is a 31.5" tire. OP was asking about a 33"+ tire.
