Its not a mod, but I used it as a truck yesterday....I went to pick up landscaping rocks/pebbles for my wife's project. After loading the bed with 25 bags, I realized that the bed had dropped down a good bit, and she was sitting nose high really bad. I couldn't find a weight on the bags....but looking it up this morning, I was at 1200# in the bed. Not too bad, considering with me in the truck and a full tank of gas I was over the max payload. The Taco handled it well, and the bed has been fully christened now.

Painted my chrome mirror covers to color match the truck. Debadged the tailgate and painted the side Tacoma emblems black. Sorry for crappy iPhone pic.

so the skids cut out at the exhaust... that's what I was wondering.

my skids have the cross member directly under the flange and even after trimming 1/2" off the flange the F*cker still rubs and rattles. It seriously pisses me off on the trails when it sounds like there is an angry Leprechaun under your truck smacking it with a BFH

Finished the LED bed lights. I got power from the trailer connector, so the lights will only work when the ignition switch is on. I like this arrangement so the lights can't accidentally be left on. They put out a lot of light. The switch was about $4 from Radio Shack.
