    Fuck no.

    My shave gear?

I don't buy blades, and I don't need AC power.

    It is legit.
"Mantic59" joined and posted a vid. He normally shaves with a double-edge, so he's not going to convert, but he wanted to evaluate.

The blades are compatible with the Gillette "Sensor" but they are not the same design.

    Oh... it's $3/month with shipping.

I am with you, I use an old Rolls Royce. I strop and hone before each shave.

    I haven't bought a blade, $1 or $15, in two years.

    neglect, mostly.
it looks pretty legit. that's cool to hear about your friend though. it'd be something i'd entertain if i shaved more than twice a month.

either way, great vid. . "youre handsome ass grandfather didn't need.." had me

    LOL!

I'm a headshaver and shave every night, so I was doing good to get 4-5 shaves from a Mach-3 or a Fusion.

who would have known they have razor forums, never knew anyone took it that serious. That said I love getting a straight razor shave at a classic barber, its a lost art.

And B&B isn't the only one... but it's probably the most well-rounded, with sub-forums for double edge and single edge safety razors as well as straights.
    They also have sub forums:
    "The Nib" = Fountain pens
"The Brown Leaf" = Cigars and pipes
"The Haberdashery" = Clothing and "accessories"
    "The Speakeasy" = Adult beverages

It's a pretty good one-stop forum for gents.
For a forum that is a little more strictly straight razors with less forgiving mods, StraightRazorPlace is run by the owner of Straight Razor Designs.

The razor pictured above set me back about $340. Some custom jobs can go for well over $1000! Most of the blades in my collection were in the $120 to $180 range.

I'm in, but I signed up a couple of weeks ago. My first blades should be here Mon or Tues. It doesn't save me money, but then I also don't have to drive anywhere to get them or need a nice shave and be out of razors. Other thing is you can cancel and start up any time, no fees or terms. So, if you did it every couple of months you could cut the monthly price down to half or a third.
