what Double battery system do you use? Let see some pics. What battery do you used.

    ...too much shit to list.
I ran dual odysseys for a while until one took a shit and I realized I don't really have a need for two batteries.
Replaced them with a single Optima.

I'm considering a 2nd battery for the vhf Radios I run. and did not want run down the main battery. I wanted to install it in front of the passenger side behind my K&N filter housing. sorta move things around.

I am running just 1 Sears Diehard Platinum (same as the Oddysey). I am not worried about running duals yet. I will be carrying a jumper pack anyway. Optimas have gone down the toilet since Johnson Controls bought them out. I was going to get one until I saw the Platinum was about the same price and was just a rebadged Oddy.

Some guy over on ExPo jump-started his Land Rover with a cordless drill battery a while back I guess. There is a thread about it over there.

only the truck's e system draws off the primary

in times that I've winched heavily...
the duals 'ave afforded me a Lil' assurance :)

The last thing I need is a dead battery. Having a 2nd battery for the radios to run on.
Blackdawg thanks for that link. I run vhf radio in my truck and tracking equipment. considering Ham.

I like the idea of running duals for my audio system, light system, camp side music and the dead battery scare I had fishing in the boon docs. Luckily I had my pops in another vehicle and I got a jump. I'm wondering if anyone has had any experience using one marine and one gold? Also, does anyone have pics of a 2nd gen dual setup? Thx

    Don't use a Blue Top.

Use a red top and yellow, best way to go really. Or just dual Yellows.

there are two different blue top optima batteries sold by optima...
only one of them is the true marine battery...

    significance of these is...

the blue top starter battery has a dark grey (almost blk casing)
The blue top marine has a light grey casing and dual upper terminal posts

the prior is less desirable/durable and is not much different then a red top starter batt. (for the most part)

But yeah... the yellow tops are the best choice for automotive use, IMO

I hear sears platinum and yellow tops are top picks and pretty similar.
