Front end left side giving out??

    Recently i went 4x4'n and now i notice whenever i hit a bump, pothole, etc. it seems like my front end left side is more bouncy and giving out more than the right side. I know i didnt blow a shock out...my buddy says it might be my tie rod or linkage....WHAT do you think it could be... i need help!!!

    ive never heard of someone blowing the actual shock in the coilover...does it happen often??
