That's a good point. I recall one of the glass shops mentioning that it's a stronger adhesive than rearview mirror adhesive, now that you mention it.

Which switch did you use? Is that the one from Firgelli?

Looks like a nice switch and a great size. One thing though, it is only rated to 10A @ 12VDC, which is the same amperage as the fuse provided in the kit for the add-a-circuit. I would recommend using a 7.5 Amp fuse in place of the 10 Amp fuse that was provided. The 7.5 Amp fuse should be enough for normal operation of the window motor, and will better protect against the potential of that switch burning in the unlikely event of a short circuit.

ok so you suggest switching for the 10 amp fuse in the instructions to a 7.5 amp fuse for this switch?

Yes sir -- with the switch being rated that low, I would like you to eliminate any risk of the switch failing before the fuse does, in the event of an overloaded/shorted circuit. A 7.5 Amp fuse ought to do the trick.

Too much to list, but enough to get me in trouble. Repeatedly.
Those who have sourced their own switches, might you be willing to report back how the install went? Operation? PICS?
    Narrowing my choices......

If you watch my video you can see where it was placed. Just behind that coin tray is the fuse box you will need to route the wires too. The installation of the switch in that tray is very easy. Just cut out the hole for the switch and route the wires to it!

    Ben!

What's the deal on access cabs? Giving up? Summer is close and now would be a great time to get 'r done son. If not then I'll continue to stretch around to open and close while cursing you for forgetting about us little guys. ;-)

Heheh, Sorry my man, I know there are a lot of you guys wondering what is taking so long. So here is my explanation :p: my ability to design an AC version is entirely dependent upon having direct access to an AC to use as a test subject. So far plans to meet with local AC guys haven't worked out. We were going to have a local mod day meet where I was planning on going to town with this, but that meet got postponed. The AC verision WILL happen -- I'm not planning on giving up! :D

    Hey Ben,

I have a 2006 double cab 4x4 and I'm interested in getting a kit for my rear glass. How do I go about getting that from you.

    Thanks
