My condolences for going with DSL. I hate Comcast, but Qwest/CenturyLink is not only worse, but provide worse service at a higher price.

Good lord, I couldn't go without internet tho. I had the internet hooked up the day I moved in, lol.

Century link is by far the cheapest the 5megs is fast enough for what I do. And i had a dead jack in my house tey put a new one in for free. I will never have Comcast in any of my houses. They are shitbags in my opinion.

They are shitbags, but IMHO not as big of shitbags as Qwest/CenturyLink.

Last time I had DSL they never, EVER provided me even close to the speed I was paying for. I was constantly resetting the modem, and constantly dealing with their tech support. The service dropped A LOT. This was in multiple houses, different areas of the state... My parents are going thru the same crap, but their only option is DSL or satellite. They pay for 1.5meg and rarely get 512k. Pretty atrocious.

Comcast... I haven't had a single problem, at all. 3 years+, never even reset the modem. Plus, they provide faster service than I pay. I pay for 20meg, and get 35+... Can't argue with that. Plus, I don't have any BS hidden fees - like requiring a land line, and whatever other BS fees DSL tacked on. For me, I wasn't saving money with DSL at all.

    To each their own :p.

Yeah I did not like how my bill was always different with Comcast. And every year it seemed like my bill would grow $20-30. Mine is 19.99 and will not go up. So for s
Dish and Internet I only pay $40 a month which is perfect for me. They did not make me have a Land line. I made them put the new jack in the basement out of the way haha.

That's pretty damned cheap. Last time I looked at doing Dish+DSL it was $80+ for a pretty basic package.

I pay internet only, and still get the locals piped over Comcast. Not sure if they're required by law to do that, but I get all I can over the antenna plus a few extra's I'd never get over the air (in HD too!). The premium channel stuff.... well that's what the internet is for :D.

Its all a racket anyways. The only way to save money is to switch all the time. And that is always a pain. Got the CLink bundle for now but cannot complain cause my company pays home phone and internet for me. :D

All of you people who are running stock need to get together and run some trails. To be honest and I don't mean to talk for others. But stock runs for us is like driving down the road for work. I hate to be a pain in people's buts. We have all been there I know.
