Lot of cell phone interference. Solutions?

Within the past few weeks I've been getting a lot of interference from my cell phone. The strange thing is that it only seems to affect my sub. I keep my phone in the small can-sized cup holder (manual transmission) and the sub RCA runs right beneath it. I thought it was simply a matter of proximity, but I'm still getting interference even with the phone in the overhead storage.

Anybody got any ideas?

Or try sheilding all your wirring with foil. this wil be the cheapest route.

 

I'm not changing my cell phone service just because it's making my sub act funny. Don't you think that's a bit extreme?

Would wraping the RCA in foil actually work?

 

You could try that...or find a shielded RCA cable to replace your current cable with.

 

Make sure your placing your phone far enough away from your connections. I get some static when I plug in my FM transmitter for my iPod and leave my phone in the cup holders.
