California is home to 3 teams that currently occupy 9th, 10th and 12th. Tonite the team that occupies 12th beat the team that occupies 9th. Your team sits in 10th. Perhaps its time to push the pedal to the floor...

 

Teams 7 and 8 have games on hand (1 and 2 games respectively and are only 1 point ahead of the Kings. Kings are also one point away from tying Pacific lead. you never know what happens. don't talk too soon

geez, LA fans are a testy bunch. Im just pointing out facts. San Jose couldn't beat a team in 12th. A team who was playing their 3rd string goalie no less. Hey you guys in LA should be thrilled. Look at all that forward pop you have in your line-up. You should be able to destroy the toothless Sharks tonite.

 

Certainly not with the way they have been playing. With all due respect St. Louis, I hope we don't have to watch your bullshit all of the way to the finals. LA has a head of steam. If you make the playoffs you could certainly take a round. So are LA fans unanimously thrilled with the Carter for Johnson trade?

I still miss Johnson, I always thought him, doughty, and Quick were an untouchable part of the Kings and a crucial part of our future. Has our defense gotten a bit worse lately, yeah I think so, but Voynov is great and he can take the place of Johnson and Carter's pretty awesome, so it seems to have worked.

 

I miss Johnson as well. Was Carter a big improvement for the team as a whole? Defiantly. Since the trade the Kings have improved on their goal per game average which was down around 2, since Carter has come in it has improved to around 3.5 I believe. Yes the defense has suffered a little, but the improvement on offense has offset that.

The problem I had with Johnson is he couldn't play both offense and defense in the same game. He was either or. I did enjoy the Teebow though. I think Voynov has filled in nicely.

 

Johnson was a loyal King though. He didn't make a big deal about his contract like Doughty, he just wanted to sign with the Kings and this was after Dean called him out for being a lousy hockey player and calling out Michigan's hockey program as weak and poor. I'm happy he's with a team that wants him and a GM who sees value in him.
