Here's a pic from the passenger side looking in. What questions do you need cleared up? I can try to get a pic of specifically what you're looking for.

Sorry to hear that, Jim!! I had a similar situation a few years back. Now I am totally overboard with security and run 2 back-ups of all my important stuff and pictures of different hard drives.

    Jim:
Have you taken the HD to an IT professional to see if they can recover the data?

When one of the kids comes home from school going to let him see if he can save the old pics. Thats all we want out of it,,, it has over 200 bugs:mad: it it so its gone not worth trying to clean up... Jim

Sorry for the loss of old photos. Did you have any of them printed off and placed in a photo album? When I lost a photo HD my saving grace was we had the best ones printed off for a photo album.

I am in the camp of saving them in multiple places as well.

    Hi Tom
There are places that can recover data from a bad HD, but it is veeeeerrrrryyyyy expensive...when my first HD cooked, I took it in and the IT guy couldn't get anything off it...went online with the laptop and found a few recovery guys but they wanted over a thousand $$$$ with no gaurentees....If I owned a company and needed the files it would be worth it but for what I had on the HD not so much...Ken

    Evening all!

Success on the trailer hitch front!! I took the truck to a local garage that does work for the college and they loosened the offending bolt. Once that was done, it took about an hour to do the whole install including the wiring harness - did it by myself so I only had one set of hands to blaance things.

I'm pleased with the quality of the Hidden Hitch and it fits snugly - directions are easy to follow for both the hitch and the harness. The kit I got also has a connector plug for the brake light connectorthat mounts into a pre-drilled opening in the hitch. No loose wire flopping around to tie up now. Sweet.

So sorry to hear that the HD is gone, Jim. That truly does suck.

evening all: mark, sounds like you'r satisfied with the hitch, and it sounds like it's a really nice one.
split rock (lake harmony) has a gun show coming up. small, but usually not too bad. of course when you go to harrisburg, and syracuse, you get spoiled.
