I was at 24 1/2" when I installed them , now I'm at 23 3/4 " with my cap on full time

I'm adding the OME AAL , the

And that's settled now.

But I want to go back to stock so I'm looking for the stock stuff now

Not selling, just figure now that I have to find another job So I won't be getting paid as much, need to save gas money

No, they will fit.

I didn't go to a much bigger tire when I did the lift

 

So you going to smaller tires then ?

 

I'm pretty much running stock size right now but these tires are done. If I get a used suspension soon, I'll likely stay with the same size or go back to the stock size (depending on what's cheaper)

 

in that case, I don't think you have much to gain, if anything, as far as fuel economy by ditching the lift. the lift doesn't kill fuel economy, it's the bigger tires people put on after the lift that kills fuel economy.

 

I lost a km per litre with the lift. Doesn't sound like much but over the year, with the amount of driving I do, it adds up to a lot...

 

Interesting , my fuel economy stayed exactly the same with the lift and didn't take a hit till I added the cap and then again later when I went to my current 275/70/17's

 

Maybe it's because I'm too high up in the air now lol

Oz, Do you know how many leafs I would have to take out of the dakars to get them close to stock height?

 

According to the ARB site , removing the third leaf from the top will drop you 5/8" .

You would be better selling the pack as is , or swap with somebody

 

Hard to find anyone with a decent set of leafs. One guy emailed me pics of his and their were severely negative arched.
