Installer scratched them...they paid me for half the price of the rims so I can live with a small scratch :(

I shipped to Pt. Roberts, WA which is 20min away from me. There is a place that takes shippments for Canadians there. You may want to look into something like that since Calgary isn't too far from the border. The only problem is that they will only accept bank draft or wire transfer if you do not ship to the same billing address as your cc, so you should work those fees into the additional charges to see what works for you.

The guy ended up flaking on my motorcycle so I'll have to wait a bit more on these wheels it looks like :(

The ones that are coming in for bronze, are they all anodized and shiny like that or did you order any matte bronze that are a bit darker?

jd- how many bronze are still in stock?
    -how much do they cost?
-and what kind of offset do they have.. would like these wheels run 12 wide tires and maybe get them about an inch out of the stock fenders. if they're 8 wide not sure if i can get 12 wide tire on it.

i apologize if any of these questions have already been answered. and i cant do much till the end of the summer when i get my re enlistment bonus. but im very serious about getting some bronze wheels on my truck if you dont mind PMing me. i appreciate it very much sir.

You could fit a 12 inch wide tire. I believe monkey proof is running the equivelant to 35/12.5

Hopefully you will find another buyer. =)

The bronze wheels that are coming in late-March / early-April are the anodized bronze finish (as Khoi posted a few posts below yours). I can get you two other styles of wheels in matte bronze, but they are not 16". One is a 17" Countersteer Type X and the other is an 18" FN Wheels BFD.

No problem. I happy to answer any questions, even if they may or may not have been answered before. I don't expect everyone to read through every page. =)

    1) No bronze are in stock right now. I have bronze arriving in late-March/early-April. I still have a few sets available to pre-order.

    2) The wheels are $775 shipped within the continental USA for a set of four, or $700 picked up from me in Southern California.

    3) The wheels are 8" wide and the offset is 0mm. You can use 12" wide tires.

295/75/16 would be a good size, since 8" is the recommended wheel width, and this tire size is approximately 11.6" - 11.75" wide depending on the tire manufacturer and model.

305/70/16 will also work, which is 12.0 - 12.5" depending on manufacturer.

If you wanted to use really huge tires (relatively speaking) even 315/75/16 will work, because 8" falls within the approved range of wheel widths. However, I personally think I'd want a wheel wider than 8" if I were using this tire size.

Remember that I am just informing you these tire sizes will work with these wheels. Whether or not you can fit these specs on your truck will be up to the suspension, body and fender modifications you make.

I will PM you as well.

Thank you for helping me out. Those specs are correct. =)

Correct. 315/75/16 would be an approximately equivalent size in metrics. Thanks for helping out with the info too. =)

    Thank you Khoi!!!

2007 Base Taco with the steel wheels - the tech showed me how the angle of the TPMS sensor was not compatible with the shape of the countersteers. I was surprised as I talked to another guy who had the exact same stock steelies and somehow they made his sensors work. Its my understanding that factory alloys and steelies come with different angle TPMS sensors so that might have something to do with it

Still love these wheels though - In fact I need another set of black center caps since the wrench monkeys have scratched the hell out of mine on a few tire rotations

Ok I admit I only checked the last 5 pages but did not find the answer. I also admit I don't really understand backspacing either. I have read in a 17 I need 4.5 inches of backspacing but have not figured out what I need in a 16 (285 75 16) is my desired size. I have icons up front and just wanted to make sure these will work without spacers.
Thanks and sorry if this has been asked 67 times already.

Toyota does use different sensors with different angles between the alloy wheels and steel wheels. So if you have OEM steel wheels, and you switch to alloys (stock alloys or aftermarket alloys), you will need to get the sensors Toyota uses in the alloy wheels.

I have heard of adapters you can use with the steel wheel TPMS sensors in alloy wheels, but I personally think it is best just to get the sensors from alloys and have them reprogrammed.

Also, if you need more caps just PM me or call me. I will give you a deal on a set. =)

No problem. I will help clarify. Backspacing is only relative to the width of the wheel. Diameter does not influence backspacing. If you are looking for a 4.5" back spacing it won't matter if you are installing 16" diameter wheels, 17" diameter wheels, or even 22" diameter wheels. Back spacing is measured from the very outer edge of the wheel rim/bead to the mounting pad (center hub area where the wheel will meet your vehicle's hub) across the width of the wheel.

Notice from this image that there is wheel width and overall wheel or rim width. Wheel width is measured inside the bead area, and overall wheel width is measured from the outer edge of the flange to the opposite end of the outer edge of the flange. ALL manufacturers of tires and wheels are referring to wheel width and NOT overall wheel width when they advertise a product. A 16x8" wheel will actually measure 17" diameter and 9" width if you measure from outside flange to outside flange.

The trouble with just using back spacing as a measurement is that it does not take into account outward clearance / stance (i.e. the part of the wheel/tire that is facing out).

You can get 4.5" back spacing in any of the following examples:

-7.5" wide wheel that has a +6mm offset is 4.5" back spacing
-8" wide wheel that has a 0mm offset is 4.5" back spacing
-8.5" wide wheel that has a -6mm offset is 4.5" back spacing
-9" wide wheel that has a -13mm offset is 4.5" back spacing
    -Etc.

The backspacing measurement is good to use for determining how much suspension clearance and inside clearance you will have. It won't help you with fender clearance though. As you can see a 7.5" wide wheel with +6mm offset has the same back spacing as a 9" wide wheel with -13mm offset, but the latter will sit outward much more than the former.

With that said, the 16x8" Countersteer Offroad wheels have a 4.5" back spacing (0mm offset), and they fit perfectly on all years of 6-lug Tacoma. If you install a 2.5"+ lift, 285/75/16 will be a great size to use with these wheels. I have Icons on my truck too, and I use 285/75/16 with 16x8" Countersteer Offroads, and I do not rub on the inside or use spacers. The back spacing is perfect.
