My really good friend is getting married in Cabo this weekend, and we're coming up on the bachelor party. Problem is the original best man is really unreliable and had to be removed from the position, so the older brother stepped in and he is an intellectual professor PhD type and super introverted, so I'm not expecting anything too exciting if we leave the planning to him. The rest of the groomsmen are a bunch of toads and are not willing to take any leadership, so I can already see us falling into mindless group think and not actually doing anything.

I'd like to have something planned out. I was thinking we could have a nice dinner somewhere, then a chill out bar, and then some place more wild.

From people who have actually been there, do you have any recommendations of places to go and why you liked it? Any places to avoid?

    Thanks!

ill be there the end of may.. We always go to Squid roe(younger crowd, more recent music), if my dad or some older guys are with us we go to Cabo Wabo(live music), desperado's a decent place to eat. Giggling Marlin is fun(we only went there in the middle of the day not too many people there) they have this thing where they hang you upside down and feed you jello shots. Theres another place called the pink kitty, although i think it was closed when we were there. Cabo's small, 7 bucks will get you from your resort to town(depending where you are) for cheap. After your in town you can walk around to the different places no problem. The only thing I would say be careful with is the vendors on Medano Beach. My fiance, her mom, and father-inlaw were on the beach and rode the sea doos. Afterwords they got talked into buying tickets from one of the vendors for ATV rides and some dolphin thing. Turns out the guy was either really sketchy and wasn't going to give them their tickets or was really slow and took forever. Finally got their cash back after I sat in front of their tent on the beach the next day waiting for the guy to return and was talking to one of the guys who worked there. Turns out he knew one of my buddies when my buddy lived in Bakersfield. So the guy i was bs'in with called the guy and threatened to beat the shit out of him if he didnt return the money.. lol sure enough the guy returned with his tail between his legs, his boss showed up on the beach just to fire him.... if you see a guy named Ivan kick his ass... if not i'll probably see him in May..
Theres a place called the Office, I think it's like a bar and grill i'll be checking that out in may, another bar called the zoo. Try to find some small restraunts theres not a ton like i saw in Puerto Vallerta but we found a little place and it was dirt cheap, they cooked right in front of us.

last tip I can recommend, Tip well... we were there for 10 days, by the end of the 2nd day of tipping well in our resort I recieved the best service I have ever had. After a while the guy would come to me and bring me free drinks knowing I was going to tip him well...

Where are you going to be staying at?

yeah I got a captains number too if you want it. his names Armando... but goes by George to Americans lol.. It's cheaper if you call him directly instead of going through one of the lame resort bookings or the booths you see on the street

Thanks for your replies, I'll look into those areas. I'll be staying at Cabo Villas Beach Resort. It will only be for 3 days, I wish I could stay the whole week, but I'm in the middle of a job hunt and that's more important.

When you talk about tipping well, how much are you throwing around? $1s, $5s, or something in between? How much cash do you bring down with you (vs going to an ATM)?

I really want to go fishing. You have the captain's number? I don't know if it will work into my schedule but it's worth a shot.

Your resort is like a 10 minute walk to squid roe. I personally wouldn't worry about a taxi during the day if your going into town. Save yourself a couple bucks. As for tipping I just think of it as how I would tip her plus just a little extra. The thing about down there is alot of the people aren't paid well so tips really help. I'm pumped to go back to our resort and see if the guy is still there that always served us. I mean he wouldn't even be working in the area we were in and he would come all the way across the resort
Just because he knew he'd get tipped. Shit we even tipped the guy with a case of beer. Theres also a Costco and sams club if you want to save cash on booze or food. I'll try dig up the captains number
