    sorry if this is a bad ??. but would welding to the frame hurt the integrity or weaken the frame? i have to ask.

    From my understanding welding straight lines on a frame can be bad but the design Jerry uses is pretty cool and i think its in this thread maybe, I know i saw it somewhere recently.

    Welding seems to be the preferred method for strength however bolt ons CAN be plenty strong enough for a high lift etc. . . I say can be because there are a few that are designed well enough that can however many are a much weaker design/mounting point.

    Yes welding a straight line from the top to the bottom can weaken the frame. I've designed my frame plates to spread the load and have curves on all edges. It's also a good idea to have some one to knows how to weld install them so you don't over heat the frame. But that said I've never see or heard anything about a frame failing from a slider weld no matter how it's installed.
