That's a lot of work to get done in a month. How are you setting up your bump/strike pad in the rear? And who's doing your frame plating/boxing?

bump stops will strike the leaf spring on the u-bolt flip plate. The bump can will be notched into the frame.

My buddy will be doing all the fab work. The rear will take the most time, but it all needs to be cycled together in one go so it all works, not piece by piece.

Yeww... that's what I figured. I'll probably end up fabbing up some strike pads on risers to go over my U-bolt flip plate. That'll keep the bumps away from the U-bolts and give them more surface area to slam down on

good idea, but properly cycled bump stop should hit the same spot over and over to avoid scrubbing.

K then, I'll wait for you and Jen to test that setup before I start chopping my own frame. I'm also concerned with the effective stroke on those bumps with the U-bolts in place. Those things stick out quite a bit, reducing the effective range of the bumps. You could always opt for longer bumps and cut the bolts down closer to the nuts/plate though I suppose.

And are you guys just gunna cut the frame boxing plates as you go along? or are buying pre-cut pieces?

    No...:spy:

Engage has a frame boxing kit that is all pre cut, but we will see when the time comes. We may just box certain sections of the rear instead of the whole thing, and plate where the shock hoops attach.

At full bump, as long those bolts dont hit frame, it should be fine, I dont think it will come in contact with the bump stop body or can.

Cam tabs may get reinforced down the road, may just solid mount and get heimed uppers down the road.

Shock tower gussets are a good idea, but wont be that hard to fab during the install process, i should mark it down.
