Camping at Knoll Lake in May

When is the moab thing?

 

I'll probalby be working on a project for work all of May, but ill be sub'd to keep this event in mind.

I was going to do the Moab trip originally, but finances are preventing that this year. Plus, I don't want to try and camp with 100 other people fighting for the same spots. I'd rather do Moab at my own leisure with a smaller group.

The dates of this trip won't interfere with that, though.

 

Just let us know, even if it's last minute. Or, I'll have a map and directions posted up right before the trip so you can just show up.

 

I'll be in NY a week before this trip, that's one of the reasons we rescheduled it until later in the month. Stuck in Buffalo again for a week.

 

Besides you aw9d, howre these dates? I need plenty of notice now, as does my lady

 

Yeah I'll be stuck there for 2 weeks for work.. Yuck! Rather be camping.

 

Reserve it. I'm locking it in and putting in for Friday the 25th off. Steve, can you lock it in, too?

 

Don't think so. I might be out for the whole month of May. In-laws will be here from the end of April til the 15th of May then my parents will be here from the 17th to the 26th. It's a month of family togetherness..... in my house.

Hmmm... must be because I haven't bought the combo in a couple years due to my firearm restrictions and being unable to hunt/carry

I'm going to get supplies put together in the next couple of weeks to build 5 or 6 more crawdad traps based on my existing design. Anyone want to make a day out of it, we can buy the chicken wire and bring everything over to my house and build them. Those pre-made pieces of shit at Wal-Mart and the sporting goods stores are too small and don't always land flat.

I modeled mine almost identical to this design, except it's 3 feet long:



My next ones are probably not going to use the mesh for the entrances because that part was a pain in the ass. Chicken wire FTW

I have the ring crimper, so all we need are extra zip ties (mostly the smallest ones, but a few of the mid size for reinforcement), a tin snips, pliers, and gloves.
