Just ordered some D-rings from my local Dodge dealer using the info posted above. Part number 05104500AA, Ring Retainer.

I couldn't find any parts online using that part number, but they had no problem looking them up when I called the dealer. Quoted $3.48 each

Always on lighter output, Any Time On Fog lights, rear 12v outlet, 4 additional D-Rings, Plasti-Dipped Side Steps, Satoshi Color Matched Grill, Dash light swap, Dome light and map light, Under hood light, Back up light/Bed Light, Diff Breather relocation, Cubby Combo Lock, Ammo Cans Mounted in bed
I did mine a few months back but instead of cutting the heads of the washers I put the bed bolts on a vice with the washer up and bolt under and just pounded it out. Came out pretty fast and no cutting. To put it back on the bolt just flipped it around and hammered it back in. Didn't do anything to the threads for those of you who are wondering.

I bought these from Army surplus too. 5 for $5 can't be beat but they flop around so they drove me nuts. I finally broke down and bought them at the dealer. Those don't flop around.

I've been thinking about doing something similar with the aircraft-style modular tie-down systems. I'm sure the composite is up for it!

i bought those dodge ones 6 of them worked great and only for 5.35 cdn each they were a steal compared to those army surplus ones with the freight beeing the killer for us canucks

forgot to add they are stiff when you torque em down so i positioned them to sit on the lip not in the channel but they will never raddle which i like

I found the T-55 torx bit at Sears for about $6. The guy there said he sells a few for people looking to do brake and caliper jobs on certain vehicles.

I just did this mod - very easy. Added two in the front and two in the middle of the bed. In addition to the original factory installed ones.

I went one step further and put a couple smaller D-rings on the sides close to where the tailgate closes. I used one of the existing hex bolts. They both feel really solid. See the pictures to get what I mean.

This works well with the nylon cargo net I swiped from my wife's Highlander. It hooks at the top with these rings, and at the bottom with the existing factory installed rings. Perfect for loose and light stuff.

I've had this truck a month so far, and am having lots of fun finding stuff to mod out.

Dose it with penetrating oil, let it sit for a day, then hit it the next day with a breaker bar.

I was hoping someone had done something like this mod, I just wanted to see what others came up with! This was the very reason I came on TW this morning. Toyota dropped the ball leaving only two at the rear and none in the front. Nice mod, just ordered my rings and should be getting them in a week or so! Thanks again and great write up! :D

Part 0510 4500 AA from Cherokee Dodge in GA. When it says "Quantity: 1", it means one ring. If you want two pairs, you need to make the quantity: 4. I wish they were clearer on that.

Took me all but 20 minutes to grind down the bed bolts and install four on the two bolts closest to the cab and two bolts in the middle of the bed. Nice, simple, quick mod.

I installed one of the Dodge D-rings the other day through a bed bolt. They are bomber, and I got them for $3.48 each. :) As others have noted they are quiet and do not rattle.

Thanks to Bobb for the info!
