So I've been using TW for awhile now to do relatively cheap mods and to do research on products that I'm looking to purchase and I finally said I have to do an intro post and say thanks to all the great minds out there that contribute to this forum. It truly is a great resource, so thanks to all of you.

I've had my 2006 PreRunner for about 8 or 9 months now and really love it. I've done a few small mods:

MagLite mount on drivers side seat
M&B 16" x 8 black and chromish wheels (I want to upgrade to something bigger and better but need to save up a bit first)
ScanGauge II mounted on steering column
    PA15-TOY USA Spec iPod Interface
Black Horizontal aftermarket grill with Toyota emblem bottom driver side
    Plasti-Dip rear bumper
Bedlined front bumper (going back to normal paint soon. It was an experiment....)
De-badged (driver side clear coat needs some love)
    Toolbox ghetto install
    Weathertech inline rain/wind guards

    Future mods:
GT all black endura seat covers
Daystar 2 1/2 in leveling kit front (hopefully will install today)
    Weathertech custom floor mats
re-install my black housing headlights after applying some silicon to stop the leaks. pissed me off that water/condensation got in so bad.

Here are a few older pics. Sorry for the poor quality. Will post more updated pics soon when I get a chance.

So installing the leveling kit didn't go so well. Of course it doesn't help when you don't really have any experience with suspension work or much auto mechanic work at all....oh well. I will either pay to get it installed or might contact a buddy to help out. :annoyed:

Oh, by the way, I'm in Texas in the Killeen/Ft. Hood area and I make the trip down to Austin quite a bit to visit the ol' girlfriend so if anyone's in the area hit me up. :)

thanks everyone. I'm not really sure what went wrong. It's definitely user error since I don't know what I'm doing. I was attempting to follow the instructions to disassemble the front right suspension but realized it was gonna take more time than I had. I also dont really know the terminology and what it looks like, ie spindle, a arm, etc. I think I need to do some more research on my own if I'm gonna complete this project by myself and not destroy any suspension vitals.

If you know of a link on here that might help, shoot it my way please! :D

Thanks, I used to live in Htown before I went into the Army. What area do you live in? The last place I lived there was off of Washington ave pretty close to Memorial park.

Hope this link works. check out some of the suspension do it yourself install threads to become firmilular with everything and the termininology, it will make alot easier. Also the first time you do anything on the truck its always a good idea to give yourself more time then you think that way you dont have to rush.:)http://www.revtek.com/inst/INST-426.pdf

I know this is for rev tek spacers, but it should be about the same for yours.

Is it a top plate spacer with longer studs or a coil spacer?

Thanks for the advice. I figured I would be lucky to get it done the first try. I'll be more prepared next time.

I believe its a top plate spacer. Just spacers that sit on top of the shock with hard ware to extend the bolts.
