GENERAL GRABBER VS. NITTO TRAIL GRAPPLER

contemplating a new set of tires and wanted to get some feedback from you guys that have either of these tires. give me the good and the bad. mostly i do highway driving but i do like to get out n play in the dirt.
i will be going with 285/70/17 or 33x12.5x17.

i see you got em on and runnin through mud, which ive heard theyre great for. what about highway, uphill climbs?

i love the grabber look but ive heard alot of mixed things on em.
love the trail grabber look but have heard nothing on em.

 

Nittos all day!

Have them on my truck and love them! They are aggressive but not as bad as the mud grapplers. They tear up and sling some mud but still have a smooth ride! they have a nice little hum as well. I will def buy these again!!!

 

I've had the Nittos for a few 1000 miles now. Great on road manners, not a lot more road noise than the Terra Grapplers I had before.
Offroad they clean out great in the mud, stuck to about anything I threw at them and worked even better aired down. Paddled thru some deep mud/water with little problem....Trails and obstacles were fine.

Haven't used the Grabbers...but I probably wont'...The Nittos make me pretty happy

 

I am very happy with my Grapplers as well, but you can't give a review on a tire with <1000 on them so I won't. That being said, out of the box they seem remarkably quiet.

 

Just ordered some nitto trail grapplers on 17" xd revolvers, ive heard everything good about them and got a couple of buddies that have them on lifted rigs and they ride and sound great.

Just a heads up I ordered the 33x12.5x17 Grabbers from Discounttiredirect.com on Monday. Got a call on Tuesday saying they were on back order till late May. So they ended up cutting me a deal on a set of 295-70-17 Terra Grapplers.

I've had my nitto trails on for about 30000 miles and think they are a great off road tire. They went through everything I threw at them included one spot were others were failing misserably. They are heavy and will never blow out or get punctured by rocks, but with that said they don't like going over 80mph on the highway. They also suck a little power and mpg as all off road tires do.
Also don't even think to run these tires in the winter as they have no sipping and have really hard rubber. After the first winter I went and bought some blizzaks which solved the problem.

The ride is also very rough even with my tires at 34psi it gives me a headache on long stretches of rough road or highway.

 

yeah my nittos have 30k on them as well and still look great, than being said they weigh about 80lbs which killed my power lol

 

I'm running ko's right now and love em on and off road...wanted something more aggressive. But it seems the cons on both these tires are swaying me back to the ko in a bigger size.

From my experience, those two tire's performance is directly related to your location.
The mud and clay over here on the east coast is completely different from the dirt over on the west coast. If you're on the west coast, the grabbers will be much better. If you're on the east coast, the grapplers will be much better.
