I guess I shouldn't consider it too light. I was doing probably around 30-35 in a muddy/rutty area. And the bottom out felt pretty significant.

Can they easily shorten the length ?

huh? seal kit is to rebuild the shock, not decrease travel.

To make the 10" shocks work, you either have to move the upper shock mount up, lower shock mount down, or bump the axle shorter

    Just get proper shocks

    Not enough.
Just put a couple serta pillows in between your axle and frame.

    Bumps as plush as pillows!

That's the problem, I went with the shock length DSM told me I would need for my leaf set up, but unfortunately whoever answered my phone call must have made a mistake.

I'll call them up in the morning and see how they can help me out.

*Put your shocks next to each other and Compare the size of your old stock shocks to the new FOX ones, and see the size difference. (just measure center hole to center hole at full droop). That will tell you what size needs to be in the stock locations and what shocks should be there.

DSM is treating me right and fixing my shocks for free. I guess I'll wait to put them back on until I have bumpstops this time.

I was told by Neil they'd be in and out of the shop within 4 days. He was really helpful.

My first phone call to DSM i was slightly unimpressed with the service, but this time around.... a free shock fixing?... I'm a very happy customer.

Good to know some buisnesses know that to get repeat customers you gotta throw the customer a couple bones.

Maybe just give them a call and ask for an ETA, I'm sure you want them on by pismo.

I've had nothing but exceptional service from DSM, but I've always asked for and spoken exclusivly with Marco.
They took care of my shock issues for free when the resi sheered off my coilover and hooked me up with some swag for my troubles.
