i've got the 285/70/17 duratracs w/ the OME kit and they look nasty. i had to trim a little bit of the fender and did the cab mount chop on the driver side and now they dont rub at all. i lost a little bit of power and about 2 MPG. but i think the look makes up for it by far!

Ok, I agree actually. My 265/70 bfg at came in today and to me they look fine. Hopefully I can get the pics up tom " when I get the lug nuts they forgot to send" from the store and get some of yall's expert opinions on to keep em or trade em out.

It's too bad no one seems to make a 275 wide tire for the 16" rim. Or am I wrong?

I had 17x8 Ultra wheels with 265/70R17 BFG A/T's on my Tacoma, and always felt like they were too small... After dealing with it for a year, I found a set of OE sport wheels with 285/70R17 BFG Mud-Terrains. I like the bigger size much better! Of course the 285's come with rubbing issues, the inner sidewall lugs rub on the UCA's during sharp turns. IMO, it's worth it, and will just be getting some spacers in the near future to get a bit more clearance. In the end, it's personal preference...
