hes correct. the front diff is a automatic differential disconnect. so essentially, the differential disconnects from the axles? i just looked at a crap load of threads but cant remember. and yeah, it prolly is the drivers tire that recieves all the power. i read that somewhere a few days ago and i thought it was the passenger but i was skimming it and cant find it now

and it doesnt lock both tires to pull, otherwise u wouldnt need a front locker like the ARB i have

 

i put the front locker in and it fixed my vibe. i had it for a while and when replacing my front diff, the cv was fine and didnt have any crazy wear on it so we just reinstalled it. i went threw ecgs and got a new diff with arb already installed and sent them my old diff after the new one was installed

Think I need a cap fer mah stereo dono much about em...subs cut off for a bit when pushing them hard..

cap or bigger, better amp with a greater cooling capacity. Had the same problems back in the day when I was all into stereo systems.

 

front diff was 1400 and my air supply stuff was 450

That sounds like an amp issue. The cap will stop the engine \ elecrical noise or "whine" if you have it.

Makes me wonder... maybe if I installed a capacitor on my phone here at work... the whining I get would be reduced!!!!

Doesn't the cap just provide more volts to the amp when needed...like when it hits hard? That's three people say sounds like my amp needs to be replaced! Seems to me it's just not getting enough food when maxed out...

Sorry Joe but def sounds like an amp problem... you would see your lights dim way down if you just needed a little juice. turn your headlights and interior lights on and jam out, if the amp cuts out before the lights dim out its more than a power issue

not scientific at all but it should give you estimate of your power needs...

 

a cap is juts a band aid for a bigger problem. fix the bigger problem, then no need for a cap

 

Maybe the ground Screwed to the sheet metal under door threshold. Been like that for years but with new source, cleaner signal or sumting and I can turn up louder w/out distortion....bumped it at lunch and sub amp poped and cut off again

j0ej0e j00 could also be clipping your signal. try turnin the gains down on you amp a little bit and see if it changes. also make sure ur amp isnt overheating and i also would move your ground to something better

 

Yea I probably should tighten up the whole install, kinda messy I did have to turn the bass down to 0 and sub volume to -2 with the new deck....had it turned up before on the old deck. Dono bout over heat...happens pretty quick if you turn it up loud.

Will try gain down some on the amp and tighten up ground.
