OK, here I go. Myfirst Toyota ever is a 2012 Tacoma four door SR5 4x4 with tow package, side androof rails. It replaces a 2000 DodgeDakota SLR 4x4 that is a real hauling machine. This new truck is some smaller and less capable, but at 70+ I don’treally need such a bad machine any more. This is my 7th or 8th4x4, not counting my Grandfather’s ’49 Dodge Meadowbrook. His car was not really a 4x4, just a four doorsedan, but I treated it as one. We’llsee how this new set of wheels will do us. My wife and I will break it in on kayak and mountain biking trips. We’re looking forward hitching up the traveltrailer for an extended trip or two as well. I’ll do a little fishing along the way then thereal test will come this fall, I’ll be off road in the deep woods looking forMr. Whitetail.
