You serious? Why would I build a cage and not make any part of the vehicle functionable? ;)

Modified my front end:mad:... with a little help. Driver cut off the lady in front of me. She braked. I braked. She won. Zero damage to her Land Rover. Upon closer inspection I almost took out my radiator too. She was sweet and said, "let's call it good":D I think it'll buff out OK. Guess I need to spend that $aved $$ on a new grill. Any suggestions?

yep. factory liner. Was thinking about some LineX until I modified my front end today. I actually drilled a hole in the rail and bolted it on with locking nuts. The AL piece was something I saw on a side shelf in the housing sept next to the bolts, I think it's made to keep boards together.
The parts were cheap: that AL pieces were about $5 ea., (2) 7/16x1/2" bolts, (4) 7/16 lock nuts, 2 7/16x1.5" bolts, (2) 7/16 wing nuts and associated washers. Drill holes and put together. I folded the AL piece over and put the 2nd set of lock nuts on so I wouldn't have to fight the bolts when rehanging. Took about 10-15 minutes.
