Ordered a Stark SE-3 vertical grip to replace my Magpul AFG.

An M4 carbine is too short to shoot with an AFG. Gets uncomfortbale quickly.

VTAC Rail TRX Extreme 11", FDE.

I removed the front sight and installed a low-profile gas block.
I have yet to test-fire it with the new gas block.

Just signed up for a 1-day carbine course in April. The perfect excuse to get some real trigger time and break in my new carbine!

Also bought 500 FMJ bullets to reload for the class, a MOE plus grip to replace the TDI grip and another pack of CR123A batteries.

    Actually neither. :)

It's a Primary Arms multi reticle red dot sight and a Primary Arms 3x magnifier....the 3x is on a flip away mount.

For 50-100 yards.....it's nice....3x is just right. I've seen 5x and other magnifiers....think it would be too much for an AR in my opinion.

Hit the range today. Function on my newest AR was 100%, sighted it in at 50 yds in preparation for my carbine class. Also chrony'd my new plinking load at 2770 +/- 20 fps (24.5 gr of TAC under a 55 gr cannelured soft point). It was a good day.

Went out to my brothers in-laws farm for some shooting...snapped a shot of him at 100yd. Stretched the 15-22 out to 100yds and was spinning the steel like a windmill. Was able to keep 1.5in groups at 250yds with the 5.56 prone with the bipod on the next terrace out. Good day in the sun!

Nice. That should go in the "ninja" taco photo thread. Very low key.

This one is as nice as the red dots that are ~$100, plus it comes with a cantilever mount. Mine has spent time on an AR, an AK and now it sits in a 30mm low ring on my Buckmark. It has the blue tinted glass that is prevalent on low end red dots, but it's built very solid. On sale for $57 right now.
