When does it happen low speed, high speed, turning, going straight or when brakeing or maybe when shocks are being used. Can you tell if it is in the front or rear.

Its coming from the front. When I stop kind of hard I can hear a clunk in the front. When i like stop and the movement from back to front cause i stop hard makes a noise. Like the passenger side more but sometimes in the middle or the drivers side.I can hear It more when going in reverse turing at full lock either side. Sometimes when trying only alittle hard. If i can reverse circles i can hear it. Even when i put it into drive and go slow i can hear the clunk or like metal or something touching. Dealer said front drive shaft axel maybe causing it cause i lifted it and at different angle. They said to try the diff drop but I highly doubt it this cause. The diff drop should only be used to take vibes away i though? Idk.

OK Miguel I know I'm being technical here but your front driveshaft hasn't changed any angles at all. With the lift the way it sits now, your front axle shafts and your rear driveshaft have. When you do the front diff drop you will change the angle of the front drive shaft in order to help the angle of the axle shafts. This is preferred by alot of people because the axle shafts are turning all the time but the front driveshaft only turns when you put it in 4wd. As far as the noise goes why don't you take John up on his offer and let us take a look at it.

Oh ok I see now. I'm sorry Im kind of dumb on this stuff lol. My bad. Thanks for the infor. I'm meeting john on saturday to have him look at it. He knows more then me so maybe with his help he can find the problem. I know alot of people say not to use the diff drop. A lot of people on here hate it but I'm going to give it a try on saturday and see what happens. I hate to not know what the noise it but i guess its the game when your lifting trucks and playing with parts.

Hey guys. Sorry to hack the thread again about my clunk. I'm sorry but i want you guys to look at the alignment measurement from when town fair tire did it last week. I've been looking at the numbers and it seems like the after numbers are way to far off from the stock before ones. I know its gonna change with the lift but that much. Im thinking they did the alignment wrong from the numbers I'm seeing but not sure. Take a look guys. What do you guys think. I think maybe they did a have fast job.

after the alignment. It seems way off but thats just me.

Camber shouldn't be that high in my opinion. That's the whole point of new UCAs, to get both the camber and caster to a good setting.

I wouldn't say they did a bad job, I just think they could have taken a bit more time and gotten things closer side to side and with the camber. I don't have a lot of faith with Townfair, they do ok but for just being a shop where all they do all day every day is alignments and put on tires, they aren't very good at it!

Yes I have to agree with you on that one. I dont know why I picked them. I'm silly. I just should of went to toyota to have it done. Do you think this is why I'm having an clunk. If I didnt have it before, I'm thinking that maybe they did a bad job and thats why Im having the noise. Idk. It has to be that cause i never had it before. Its so strange lol.

yeah. When i went there, the guy said why you getting an alignment while he was looking at my lifted truck. I said hello don't you see that its lifted with new parts,( as he Is looking at my new ucas lol) that why I need a new alignment . I should have just left there and went with someone else But I didnt. I have an funny feeling that its the alignment. I really dont wanna spend another 80 to 100 for one when it might not fix it.

I don't necessarily think a so-so alignment job is the reason you're having the clunk providing they tightened things down when they were done, which you already checked over. That being said, I have no idea what could be causing it and it is odd that it happened when you got it aligned. I'm perplexed
