Got a small nick on my driver side bumper just in front of the wheel well already. but it was my 9yo brother with his bike so I'm not mad :)

I'd rather him or me put the first scratch on it than some schmuck, sorry to hear about your bad luck. get some sliders :D

im to embarrased to share mine but here it goes for the people on tacomaworld.

about a month into owning my 2012 i had the rear crome bumper painted black to match well a week after that i was backing my truck into a spot at a local bank when a 1980's POS car driven by some out of town young girl thought she could sneek in from behind and pull her ride front first. While i was backing my truck up.Needless to say my rear bumper hit her front hood which dented it and cracked her front grill and broke her head light. My truck just had a small scrape on the bumper. Long story short we walked away and didnt get insurance involded.Neither wanted to admitt fault and a hit on our record nor a accident reported on my 2012 truck.

I got the bumper repainted the next day and all has been good since. Im sure she still driving around not giving a f*k.

I feel your pain. The first week I got my truck, was parked in a supermarket parking lot, and some idiot backed into my truck and cracked my passenger tail light. No note, nothing. People who do this kind of shit should not be allowed to drive.

This is usually done by people driving a complete POS. You cannot own anything nice anymore because people are so into their phone conversations and Facebook that they pay absolutely no attention while driving a freakin car!

I put a pretty big scratch in the bedside of my 2012 while hauling a load of gravel for a friend after I had for about a week.

I was at the dealership for some other nonsense, and I mentioned it to my sales drone - and he got the body shop to fix it for free.

That's certainly going above and beyond, you should name the dealership so other locals can support them.

I'm really fortunate in that several of the dealerships around here (Madison, WI) are fantastic to work with. It kind of sucks because it really can be hard to choose between them sometimes.

I bought my current truck from Smart Toyota in Madison. I've also bought cars from Lancaster Toyota on the other side of town. Mark Motors in Portage, WI is also a very good dealer. I have had nothing but great experiences at all them. Wilde Toyota in Waukesha sucks, however.

If you're interested in Mazdas, Don Miller Mazda on the west side is very good.

Avoid the Nissan Dealership (Kayser) at all cost. It is not worth it to deal with them at all. I may buy a Nissan one day, but it sure as hell won't be from there.

I know dealerships have a bad rap and rightly so but the guys at mine treat me great. I have a fender flare that wasn't sitting quite how I liked it n they replaced em free, keyed side mirror, replaced free, brought it in two or three times because I wasn't used to Tacomas yet (it was my first one) and they always took a look no questions asked. They even messed up with the tires I negotiated with delivery when i traded up so I asked to be compensated by getting better ones, my pro comps and they made it happen. They even threw in the matching full size tire and wheel when we negotiated four.

Granted its a smaller town and they know me, I've bought three vehicles in a year there, but I have no qualms with them whatsoever.

A good way to avoid door dings from smaller cars is to install tube steps on your truck. That way, any car door that is lower than yours will hit your tube step instead of your door. Of course, this is not effective with cars that are higher than your truck or angled parking lots. I got a small ding on my front left fender from an angled parking lot :(. To help with people that rear end you or bump you in parking lots you can install a trailer hitch. The careless driver will hit that rather than your bumper. When my brother got rear ended there was no damage to his car, but the minivan who hit him had their plastic bumper ripped up and their front end was wrinkled.
