I MIGHT camp out Friday night. I'm not 100% sure yet...

I'd probably get there around 9:00 PM as well if I end up camping Friday.

First month of ownership... This month I'm removing front air dam, and also Rhino lining the bed.
We'll leave the off-road lights on for you.

But seriously.. When you see at least 8 Tacos in close proximity chances are you've found us. Guess we should just be taping the 3rd keg by 9pm I think :)

Hell yeah! I broke down and just ordered a cheap flag today. still saved about $6 vs. buying in the store. I am not taking my canopy off, so I think I will mount it to my cargo rails somehow.

I would love to make it to the next event in a week, but money is tight for me right now. I will see if I can make it to the June event. Pending that I have availability and funding, I would be camping. It is something like 4-5 hours for me to get to Portland. I would really like to make it out and play with my truck and learn more of what works best for the offroading, but can still be used for daily driving.

Craigslist bro. I found a brand new (used for 2 weeks) Cobra 19 DXIV with mic and antenna for 40 bucks. Works perfectly when I tested it.

EPIC fail though on the install. Holy fuck I must be retarded today. Nothing worked like I wanted it to. Everything fought me. I can't seem to get the power cord through the firewall even though I am following my amp power cord. The connector pieces that I thought I had are now missing. And I cant seem to figure out how to run the antenna wire from the bed into the cab. FUCK ME!

    Edit:

All done. Found a gromet under the drivers seat that goes under the truck. Perfect for the antenna. Im running to lowes to pick up one more ring terminal. Then I just need to tune it with my SWR box and ill be done. Here is the antenna placement. It is not my first choice, but it came with the radio so ill take it. I just need it for trails and the dunes. The CB itself is on quick disconnects so it will be in the storage bins unless I need it offroad. Then just plug it in and go. It will be on the drivers side between seat and center consol.

yep, according to the meter I am going to need a longer antenna. The 2 foot is definetly too short

You're not going to get much reception in the back there. From my understanding you want your antenna to extend 2/3rd's higher then the roof of your vehicle if your vehicle is in line of the radio. I picked up a 4ft firestick and will be using Eric's (relentless) hood mount. Maybe if you move the antenna to the back of the bed you might get better reception.
