Hi guy's I was looking around on one of my fishing forums looking at reports (Red drum, Sheephead and Flounder are biting hard and fast which means I'm hitting the water soon) and found this it's a great idea for anyone, myself included, that doesn't want to buy a rod holder or drill into parts of the truck to make a stand for them. Seems simple enough to make.
Edit: Here's the link that I found it in there are a few other ideas there even one with a guy who had a cover on his bed.

it definitely casts farther, I just have to figure out the weight and brake system a little bit better. I might have to cut off some more line, other then that I will be practising alot this year.

^ Thats a dadgum nice crappie and seemed like a pretty good day overall..

I got to fish about 30 minutes today with my girlfriend so part of it was showing her stuff. I had the worst luck ever: got home and my brother took my trolling battery, got on the water and my gf's reel messed up, lost a few fish, caught her rod with my worm and backlashed my new reel, and it started raining on us. But none the less I got to get out on the water for a little while and enjoy myself. Only got a picture of the truck:

My boss gave me over a two hundred dollar set up today for 80 dollars. He's not much of a fisher and he knows how much I love it and he cut me a great deal. The setup is ABSOLUTELY amazing!
