    Well, my Gerber decided it was time to break. So I now have a knife with no tip… Where should I go from here? I'm looking to get an all purpose everyday knife I can use at work and where ever else I need it. Any suggestions?

    Benchmade is one of the best imo but can get pricey. Look at sog, kershaw, and. Zero tolerance. Zt makes some bad ass ones also, but with benchmade they are expensive.

    I'm leaning more towards Kershaw. But it needs to be a folding pocket knife. And anything less than $100 :D
    I've looked in that thread. I'm really liking the Kershaw Blur. My only problem is that I don't have much experience dealing with knives. So I'm looking for any input/commentary I can get

    The Benchmade Osborne 940 may be the best EDC ever designed.

    A very serviceable alternative for less than 1/2 the price is the Spyderco Delica.

    The Kershaw Blur looks pretty good I saw one site had a closeout sale with 40% off. I can tell you that the
    $48 Kershaw 1620 Kershaw Scallion Pocketknife, 2.4" Bead-Blasted 420HC Steel Drop Point Blade, Assisted Open with Flipper, Liner and Tip Lock, Single-Position Pocketclip,Black & Silver
    Kershaw 1620 is great, under 100 bucks and I like that it has the the piece on the blade that prevents your hand from sliding. I think you will like the speed safe feature; it really makes opening easy especially when your other hand is full.

    that sucks. i've dropped mine from way higher than that several times and haven't had any issues. just yesterday i dropped it from 10' to 12' up straight down onto the concrete floor and it was fine, again. the only issue i've had with mine was my torsion bar wore out. sent it to kershaw to have it replaced and to have it sharpened like it comes from the factory. they put a brand new blade on and also replaced the back plate where a couple of the screws got stripped when the clip got caught on a metal stud as i walked past it. i was very please with their customer service. just my experience with kershaw.

    I love the Osborne, the only thing I'd change is the clip, wish they were like the ones on SOG knives.

    I had 2 Kershaw Ken Onion 1550s but the tips broke easily.

    Yup, a little expensive, but Benchmade. Made in the USA too. Another decent, rugged knife maker is CKRT. Columbia River Knife and Tool.

    Benchmade (auto-opener) is 2nd from right, far right is the CKRT. Both are excellent and are daily use working knives for me!
