i ssid this in the other thread, just because that movie came out blew the party way out of proportion, partys happen like that alot around here, so shock, now someone getting killed doesnt always happen, but there are big parties like this alot. its only because the movie came out that the media puts a bad look on us texans

but 1000 people? parties like that dont happen all the time. i agree they happen. but i have been to plenty of parties in my highschool days and have witnessed over 3 kegs gone in a night. but thats the max. it was in a desert so less people showed up but still.

About 7-8 years ago there were riots at Iowa State during their college celbration VEISHA. Part of what started the riots was a party getting busted by the cops that was estimated to be aver 1300 people. VEISHA used to be one of the biggest parties in the country until a guy got stabbed in 1996. They have since cracked down on the parties and they even canceled it for a few years after the riots.

Shit the biggest parties we have out here have at most 150 people. 1000+ people seems nuts. Plus in NC, we have what is called ALE (Alcohol Law Enforcement) and they don't take to kindly to big parties. They are always getting shut down.

    they do indeed exist

we have one cop that patrols our neighborhood and when we have a party someone always calls the fuzz on us. he knocks on the door, half the people run like it's the taliban, he tells us to turn the music down, we do, we enjoy the rest of our evenings.

Hell they go super easy on y'all lol. I was DD for a bunch of people one night and there were probably about 150 people at the party and low and behold ALE shows up. They make everyone divide into two line (21+ and 21 below) and make everyone show ID and take a breathalyzer. Needless to say probably 50 people either went to jail or got underage drinking tickets.

That would have been awesome. My wife and I decided to forgo the bars that night. It was a good idea. We would have been caught in the middle of the riots. My roommate came home at 3am and woke us up. We wend out side and we could hear all the sirens and shit from the north side of town about 4-5 miles away. It was crazy.

yeah there are times like that. my brother when he was in college was at a party where the fuzz just walk through the door like that. the homeowner who was some rich drunk frat dude called 911 on the cop and they had to give all the kids their id's back and leave.

be respectful and don't let them in the house without a warrant.

... and so it's known, im not some cop hater. most just have better things to do in raleigh, north carolina... and knowing your rights goes a long way :)

i have let a cop in my house once..... but i told him he needs a warrant and he told me to shut the fuck up, sit down and give him my keys. lol i was scared so i said okay. but there were no people inside my house so i didnt get in trouble. i was 16 and scared out of my mind, me and my friends were fighting in the park with 2oz gloves and someone called the cops. and everyone followed me over my fence haha
