I dont see why some of you are busting op's balls. He has good reason to be suspicious if his neighbor told him of the situation since most people just keep their mouth shut and turn their head. He does have to find 100% proof before he opens his mouth even the slightest. He has a kid so he needs to prioritize all of this...I would go about it like this...

1. Find proof and document
2. Secure all finances and speak to a financial advisor
3. Talk to divorce lawyer
4. Drop bomb on wife

There are tons of ways to find out...

1. phone tap
2. pc keylogger program ( records everything typed, including facebook passwords, em, etc )
3. You can pick up a small internet wirless camera for $200 that you can hook up to watch on your cell phone so if you're out of time you can see it all in realtime.

4. If you have the money just get a detective

5. Tell youre wife you're going on a business trip (phony) and just stake out the house late at night. But get it on video.

This stuff sounds crazy but a woman will DENY DENY DENY until you have absolute proof you shove into her face. I would find out the truth asap because honestly you dont want a scenario where she cheats on you for years and than gets bored with you. Makes up some unhappy marriage b.s., leaves you, takes most of your $$$. And two months down the road this co-worker is living with her in your house....

i have been in both situations, she denies if i bring it up. then i finally found rock solid proof, but she tried to hide it even better. dont open your mouth.

$75. They didnt even do a DNA test because it wasnt human. They just told me it was a cat wisker and no reason to do a test.

As for the people asking why I had my suspicions.....basically it was because of my neighbor. It wasnt anything my wife has done.

I do remember like two years ago though a study came out in the news that said for the first time in research history that married women now cheat the same amount as married men....which is about 50%.

So when my neighbor told me about seeing a car park around the corner and he thought a man walked over to my house late at night when I was gone it seemed suspicious.

Do I have any other proof ? NOPE.

Right now I think there is a 10% chance she is cheating.

Personally, if she admitted it and said she just wanted some sex then I would I could forgive her and go on with the marriage. I dont think cheating once or twice is grounds for a divorce.

But if she said she was cheating and was in love with him and blah blah blah then it would be hard to stay with her.

 

Careful, I thought the same thing and forgave...then it happened again with someone else.

Paranoia will destroy you .. and your marriage. And until you talk about what's going on, that's all you got.

I didn't say confront her directly. That in and of itself WOULD be a bad move. But an affair is usually like 10 steps down the dysfunctional road for a couple. There are other things broken if that's where it's at. So yeah, for sake of the kid, and if you care about the relationship, then find a way to connect. Find a way to open channels of communication. If you feel like you can't do it without a mediating 3rd party (a counselor or conflict coach) then tell her that's what you want. Because otherwise, cheating or not, this marriage will be over. Lack of trust is a killer whether it's justified or not.

 

Why bother with this crap? You don't need proof to end the marriage and it sounds like it's functionally over anyway. The trust is gone, he can't get over it. He's sending hair DNA testing, for crying out loud. Skip the detective work and get to a lawyer.

 

so you just want him to move on and never know if she was actually cheating or not?

i think hes giving her the beenfit of the doubt by not leaving her and trying to see if its really happening first
