You will catch fish on this trip. I never go without catching at least half a dozen trout a day up there just messing around. There's a sweet spot right off the point below this campsite where the trout just cruise around. Just stock size, but they go great in some tinfoil right on the coals at camp. The crawdads are everywhere up in those lakes so we should do well if we set a bunch of traps.

I figure it's best to put all the info at the top so there are no questions. I know this trip is 2 months away but it gives everyone plenty of time to plan their gear, request off work, etc.

I'm taking off the Thursday before and also the Monday after this trip. Gives me a full day to go through all my gear instead of getting off work and having to scramble. Plus, I hate getting home from a trip and having to work the next day after being all burnt out. Gonna make this a fun 5 day weekend.

Let's look at doing this in the next 2 weekends or so. Sundays are fine. I want to have as many of these as possible so we have a surplus of good meat for Saturday night's thing. In a full day, we should be able to make up about 8 of these once we get the templates made.

Watching hauls of dozens at a time coming in is so satisfying. These little bastards are tasty.

Based on my expenses in Vegas this week, this Sunday should work for trap building. I'm drafting up a new design for a monster crawdad pot that is 4'x4'x18" that I might build instead of doing a few smaller ones. Still trying to calculate which way is cheaper and more effective.

Hahaha yeah you guys were a little bit wet! Get something smaller like a 4-man tent and set it up in your yard and weatherproof it especially along the seams. Let it dry for 24 hours and you're good to go.

    4-man tent = 4 Asians or 2 Americans

Yeah, I'm gonna look around and see whats out there. That's the only thing we need too.

Perfect.. ill use that sizing chart when purchasing a new tent, or anything that carries, holds, houses, covers, encloses, etc. Lol

Love my six man tent, holds our queen airmattress with room to get dressed.

Otherwise our backpacking bibbler is a 2asian tent.

I have a 6 man tent that I love, but it's such a pain to deal with. It does hold a queen and a single air mattresses side by side with room to stand between. I can't wait to get the Kamp Rite tent cot back out in action for this trip though. That thing is so comfortable, I sleep through the entire night and stay dry and warm. Plus the 2 minute setup/takedown is bauce

I would probably go up on a Saturday morning vs. a Friday myself..throw it out there now if anyone might be interested in going up together...thinking of meeting at the Beeline and Shea in Fountain Hills for a starting spot.

Seabass: Since you gone thru the effort to organize this, what is your poison? Of course I would help you "share" it.
