How the fuck does Keith get 5 games for an elbow.. and Sedin doesnt get shit for the shoulder/arm to the head hit.. Shanahan even references the hit in the ban on Keith.. what a bunch of Horseshit...

Well that's a tough one because if you're Keith you don't want to bring that up. It'll make you look like you were retaliating which will work against you. Tough to plead intention as Keith.

 

Sedin's hit on Keith was a shoulder hit ( although the head was contacted ) that did not result in a penalty on the ice , and obviously Shanahan did not deem it worthy of supplementry discipline , Keith's hit was a elbow first hit targetting the head on a player without the puck

Sedin's hit looked like he was aiming high and Keith prepped for it.. If Keith didnt have his head up paying attention it would have been a head hit.. it just seems like 5 is steep if Sedin gets nothing

A few weeks ago Letang was in a vulnerable position reaching for the puck and took a hit to the head but it was a shoulder so it was clean. I thought head shots were no good but as long as you have the puck, and the hit is with a shoulder you're good to go?
