I think ill be painting the "TRD" on my Sig mesh in white soon... The red is hard for my colorblind ass to see.

believe it or not - that was my first request for a chrome grill!

 

I'm the few that likes chrome I guess, keep it looking like stock 09 grill. I ordered the tacoma emblem and plan to stick it on the grill, and paint the center-bottom of the bumper black. Hoping it will look like this photoshop I made when done:

 

Nice! What "options" did you choose (beyond just the chrome?)

Homer, what's the wait time for a grill?

 

Several months at least...

 

I was added to the list back in early november at ~33; it looks like I'll be getting mine in ~early/mid April. And that was well before the mesh being powder coated, which is apparently adding even more time, so 5 months out at ~30 on the list. That means, unless something changes, the wait is well over a year at this point. No need to have the money before you get your name on the list, you'll have well over a year to save

Remember - this is a part time gig for me.

When I began I was doing 6 at a time. Now I do 10.

At top speed with no distractions and supply lines running on time I can do about 20 a month.

 

I understand it's a part time gig, I was just curious how long the wait was. I've got something in the works and just seeing if it could be done before this might happen so i can plan accordingly.

yeah, it seems in just the last month or so the list tripled... people must have been waiting on tax money to put themselves on the list

 

Tax refunds, and Homer took a much-needed vacation that put him a couple of weeks behind his previous pace.

 

All I know, is that it seems to be well worth the wait. I don't even remember when I was added to the list. I am IMPATIENTLY waiting right now

Says the guy who's grill is prepped and sitting contently in my shop right now.

I've got some assistance now from my wife (Mrs.Taco) and my Dad (colorguy54)
They are both making the process easier for me.
The only hold up I forsee is supply...
For some reason it took almost two weeks to get this latest batch of grills in.
I've already ordered the next batch to hopefully eliminate the lag.

 

I'm going to be out of town thursday through saturday morning. So if you start notifying the next people, ad I dont answer right away, I still want a grill! don't skip me! LMAO!
Although I assume that I have pm'ed you enough times with my choice, that you already know what I want. LMFAO!
