The reason why HPI doesn't race is because they have a full on race brand Hot Bodies

The Hot Bodies D8 (which the Apache SC, C1, HPI D8S, and Vorza are based off of) has won the IFMAR 1/8th Worlds in 2008 and nearly won it in 2010

Jesse Robbers used to race the Blitz when he raced SC

So would anyone happen to have an old running engine that would fit on an old xxx-nt with a rotary carb? Mines done for.

I do that with my SC10 all the time.....

The only thing I've had trouble with is the transmission and diff in it because I got the brushed RTR and put a hot-ass motor in it, instead of getting the FT or brushless RTR..

I can't speak for other people with AE products, but the one that I have won't break unless you TRY to break it. and why would you do that?

    Too many to list
I run with my slash with a sc10 brushless, and a brushed blitz. Iv never had anything break yet on my slash, my buddy with the blitz has broke a-arm from a full speed collision to a pole, and the sc10 never runs with us because its always broke just doing the same crap we do. I like the sc10 when it runs but i will never buy one, i will go with a hpi for my next rc for sure.

    Yeah.
My SC10 4x4 has seen some good air and bad landings and is still holding strong.

DirtJumper, I agree there are some advantages to lipo, but regarding power, its the reason I'm going 7 cell 8.4V instead of 6 cell 7.2V, although I know there are other power related advantages to lipo. Run time is not as much as a concern right now since electric mains here are short here (Between 5-10 mins). I could go lipo and add weight, but since the lipo will be on the way, I won't be able to add weight were the NiMh is adding the weight (low and center), I also have the benefit of being able to move the weight (moving forward or backward the battery) as necesary. As you said the suspension can be tuned to the weight, but my reason for weight is for stability, since these trucks are already lightweight in bumpy tracks as the ones I'll be running weight is a plus.

Once mains get longer here I'll make the switch to lipo, for now I'll stay NiMh plus I already have a charger so its less I have to invest right now to get started.
