Damn that looks like a nice setup

 

Yup little dog had surgery today. Good news and bad news. Good news is he will be fine. He will probably limp for the rest of his days. He has torn ligaments in both right and left shoulder and has arthritis. There is no cure for what he has. The years of being a police dog have taken their toll on his body like any professional athlete. anyway the bad news is he may never do police work again. We will have to see. He has another round of "shock therapy" and 6 weeks of rest. He may recover and may not we don't know. And yes I will be keeping him. I pick him up in g'ville tomm. He is a great dog and has caught alot of bad guys. He owes nothing, he has served and deserves to retire if he so wishes.

 

Well, i hope you honor that puppy with a peaceful, relaxing retiement! He deserves it for all the great work he has done!!! Make sure you do all you can to let him know how much he is appreciated.

 

Will do...I will make sure he enjoys retirement if we go that route. seems like my supervisor is leaning towards it...

Sorry to hear about the dog,There is never a EZ way to watch go geter get old, 8 bird dogs in 30 years has been so much fun but also so much heart break . There time on top is so quick to come and go. Take care of your pal as I know you will... Jim..

 

I work Sunday (tomorrow) from 0645-1645, off Monday and tuesday, but I will be in O-town Tuesday morning to take my protocol test

 

the rack bushings. Hard to tell what made the biggest difference though, because the out tie rods ends, and that rack was worn out on top of the crappy stock rubber bushings.

The front end is TIGHT now. Now I just need to get some coilovers and get rid of the shitty spacers

And the body lift will be coming off when I get my 4X bumper.

 

Looking at a set of used donnahoe coilovers for $275...offered $225. They need rebuilt....anyone know how much icon charges for a rebuild?

 

Sucks about early retirement for your pooch k9. I had a Dutch Shepard in college and he was a police training flunkie. That was my favorite dog. There is a k9 cop on my street that raises and trains dutch ones (I think his duty dog is a German). Takes me back every time he gets a new puppy to train.

 

On a funny note the rear lift has been done on my truck for a week. Ome springs, ome shocks and day star lift shackles. I haven't had time to do the front. My truck is hillbilly delux right now. I hope to finish tonight or tomorrow. How many beers does it take to do the front coils and shocks?

 

Call dsm about rebuilding the coilovers. They can probably do it faster and cheaper.

hope for the best! what breed is he? just wondering. i think allot of the departments around here are going a way from the German shepherd’s and going to something els. i for get the name of breed.

my friend has a 5 month old GSD i’m taking care of it this week since he is down in Daytona at their beach house for spring brake.

K9 - Sorry to hear about the pup, hope he heals up quick. If he does get retired are you going to stay in the unit and train another pup??

It's good to know he will be relatively alright k9. When/if he retires are you gonna keep him?
