Let's see your white Tacoma

I went for a drive in the mountains the other day and snapped a few shots at the Lake Henshaw overlook shortly before the sun set behind the hill.

 

These are my two Toyota's.

The first pic in my '89 V-6, that I just had painted, and the inside completely refurbished. Thought about a trade in when I bought my new Tacoma, but I just couldn't do it. It's the vehicle my daughter learned to drive in, and has hauled countless teenagers to various functions before my first born learned to drive...along with hauling quite a few elk, deer, and antelope out of the wilderness in Western & Eastern Montana. For sentimental reasons, I just couldn't part with it!

The second pic is my '11 Toyota Tacoma TRD Sport that I bought in June. Other than changing the tires, I haven't done any mods, and am looking for some helpful hints on what to add.

The first thing I want to add is a grill guard. I know some folks don't care that much for them, but there's been more than a few times, having them on my other truck, they've really helped me.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

 

so just browsing thru the pics and saw your sick ass truck... if I may make one suggestion... flip white letters on tires around... that's coming from someone who likes all black, but I'm digging the Storm Trooper look! Especially on the 2nd Gen! my Taco is fading in the FL sun and I need some paint work cuz it's slowly fading to White... lol

Drove to Reno over the weekend to bet on a few basketball games and let the truck see a little snow. The KM2's did amazing in the snow for a mud tire!

Looks great! Do you have a write up and/or a source for the vinyl? Have some chrome mirrors I was thinking of painting or replacing, but this would be nice in the interim.

 

My truck looked like this when we woke up yesterday around 4000' elevation in the San Diego County mountains about 60 miles from the coast.
Thank goodness for 6-speed + 4x4 since I used 4-Hi until we were a little under 3000 feet. The lane that wasn't cleared by the plows and didn't have cars driving 5mph with caution lights and riding their brakes..... yeah that was MY lane.



This is what it looked like a couple hours later after driving a little over 40 miles to the west down to 300' and mostly sunny skies.



There aren't many places on earth where you can play in mountain snow, visit the desert and have a bonfire at the beach on the same day.
