WHOLLY FUCK GEOFF! HOW DID I MISS THIS! Sorry man, i would have jumped in sooner lol.

first off congrats on scoring such an amazing location! how did you manage that one. its only on the ground floor of one of the most popular hotels up there right in the middle of down town...

what happened at the last place? you said you popped the question, does that mean you asked for a raise? sorry it didnt work out, but it looks like this is going to be MUCH better.

the name and menu look fantastic! from the looks of it you have some of the fairest prices up there. i am going to get my ass up there and stop by and eat some stuff:D how did opening go? future plans? who all do you have working for you?

LOL.tyty.. U funny Mark..... Here's the run down

I got fired, saw that Heartland deli closed on Feb 14th, Saw the space for rent about a week after I got fired. A nice tax return was coming in, and I had saved a few bux from the summer. Signed the lease, got the keys, pissed people off that were snoozing on leasing the space. Got a logo, designed a menu, had signs installed, fkn local politics, got all my permits, ordered food, bank has hit about rock bottom, opened 3 1/2 weeks after deciding to do it! Was just REALLY lucky scoring the spot! !!

Wifey is playing a HUGE roll... and we've hired 3 people. Plus a nanny to watch the kids full time.

As far as the future goes... who knows, but I will surly grow out of this kitchen I have now.

People are really going nucking Futz over the food, it's really nice hearing that! Some owners of a sports bar in Boise came in today ( Cresects ) .. do u know this place? They were cool & left very happy.

It's a slow season, and I can only go up from here!

    See you soon Mark:D

Posting a few pics from today now..

    And curve the bill.

But make him do it or get a different hat. He paid $40 or $50 for that hat and the sticker and flat bill is a part of "the look".

SWMBO says you need flowers on the tables

Actually, as a boss, I'd avoid any pro sports teams.
Baseball isn't too bad, but NFL/NBA, emotions can get pretty hot at times.
We had an incident where a guy was hanging a team banner in his window and someone who wasn't a fan of that team caused trouble.

The city I work for has a policy that employees can't display hats or jackets with a ballteam's logo or business logo on it.
The business logo, obviously they don't want it to look like employees are accepting gifts from businesses. They're a little lax on enforcement of the sports team item... a lot of people wearing Dodger's caps, but they just say "LA"

It would suck for something like that to impact the business. I'd just have some ballcaps printed up with the company logo on them and you're good to go with a full uniform.
