I am new to aftermarket audio systems and i want to add subs and amp to my truck. I found the Amazon box that i think i want sealed. I want kicker 10" compvr subs. What amp do y'all recommend? I've looked at the kicker zx 300.1 400.1 and 500.1

First make sure before you order your box that it contains the correct air space for the subs if it does then how many subs do you want? What's your price range? For full power to one sub you're looking at the 500.1 for full power to 2 subs you want a 1000 rms amp.

I want kicker compvr. 2 10's. They are 140 for two at sonic electronix. I haven't been able to find the dimensions of the box. The reason i asked about those amps are because i have a friend with a 300.1 with two kicker compvrs 12's in a sealed box and it sounds good. Hits really hard to only be 300w. Also can anybody refer me to a place to find a good cheap box for my 2010 double cab?

This box? It'll work just fine but will want to stuff the box a little bit.

With Polyfil it's the stuff that they put in pillow's when you put it in sub boxes then it makes the air move slower and the speaker "thinks" it has more space than it actually does. Kicker's website has the minimum air space for the subs at .8ft^3 if you put in 2-3 handfulls of polyfil then it should simulate a .8 or bigger box.

Will it hit pretty hard? I found a kit on hifi sound connection. The kit has 2 cvrs kicker dx1000.1 amp and a 600w wiring kit. Is this a good set up? Is this website a good place?

I'm sure it'll sound good and hit but how hard I don't know but I'd be willing to bet that it'll suit your needs because finding 1 cubic foot of air space for 2 subs is going to be hard even though at .75 it is close. I have no experiance with HiFisoundconnection but if you're buying an amp kit for a 1000w amp look for one that has a power wire gauge of at least 4 gauge and around 80 amp fuse.

The kit is 319. Seems like a good deal. Can you tell a difference in a 2 or 4 ohm sub?

As in sound quality? Not really but it makes a huge difference when it comes to wiring it to an amp.

That package you're looking at with the subs and DX1000.1 will be fine but make sure that the subs are dual 2 ohm voice coils so that you can wire it for a 2 ohm final load which you will do like this.

Again a DX1000.1 will work great for those subs but to get full power to them you would want something around 1,600w rms which you could get a Kicker ZX1500.1 to run them right at that rms range.

Actually those amps won't work because when u wire them up they will be either 1 ohm or 4 ohm together

Yikes you're right I was thinking they were 1ohm ratings on the website. Forgive me my brain ain't working to good today, midterms are frying it up.
Edit: You could do a JL 1000/1 but that's a little up there in price and size but it'll do 1000w no matter how you wire it up to 8 ohms and down to 1.
