2006 Tacoma Access Cab TRD OR
    Hello,

I've been lurking here for a while... I don't want to start another Billstein VS OME thread, but I am having trouble deciding on lift options. My truck is a 2006 Access Cab TRD OR. I just ordered 5xGoodyear Duratrac 265/75/16.

I am aiming at 2.5" of lift. From what I have read the OME package is supposed to be a softer ride then the Billies, which is desirable for me.

Can someone please confirm the height I would get from this OME kit without the topplate spacer. I was thinking 885 coils. I have no extra front weight, but I have read that the 884s sag.

Can I use the 1.5 AAL for the TSB, with my NON-TSB Leaf? I only want a small amount of rake, and my factory setup has about 2" already. I dont think I need a 2" AAL. (I have a Leer 180 Canopy on order too, so this weight along with camping gear is a deciding factor as well.)

    Thanks for your help.

ull probably be slightly over 2.5" with the AC. I'm a reg cab and got close to 3" without the spacer. Just go with it - u'll be very happy. And the 265s will be fine

and get the 1.5" AAL - u'll be happy

    OME 885, 5100's, 1.5 AAL, DC2's, 265/75/16 Duratracs. Leer Cap, Debadged.
I have a double cab, 885's with 5100's and no spacer and received exactly 2.5". I have the 1.5" aal with the tsb leafs and have a bit of rake (with a leer cap). I also have 265/75/16 Duratracs sitting in my garage waiting to go on in a couple of weeks.

I have been looking at this same kit for quite some time now I have a 2011 access cab. I want about 1 1/2 to 2 inches of lift. Would the 884 springs be the right choice? Or do they really sag alot over time? I wouldn't mind having more lift but I don't want all the problems with alignment and all the other crap. Thanks

I got 2.7" of lift on a dbl cab 2wd drive with the OME885 coils no top plate spacers...an access cab 2wd should still be under 3" ...for the rear I have the tsb and 1.5 AAL made for the tsb. I am 3/4" higher in the rear..good luck

I have the access cab and I got 3 inches in the back but I went with the Dakar springs. I also got just about 3 inches (between 2 3/4 and 3) in the front. 885 coils with no top spacer.

So I guess if I am reading this right, If I am looking for 2.5" of lift, and the new "x" OME springs don't sag, perhaps I should go with the 884's?

Seems everyone got more than 2.5 out of their 885s

the 884s are the same spring strength/stiffness as the 885s but are 10mm shorter - they wont sag any more than the 885s. Since they are 10mm shorter, you can expect about a 20mm (~3/4") lower lift compared to the 885s. This will put you right at ~2" of lift total. This would be good for running 265s plus you wont need to worry about your CVs being at too steep of an angle.

Sweet, Im getting there now, thanks for this info.

So if I add the 884s and get roughly 2" and decide its not quite enough, I can add the topplate spacer correct? How much addition lift will the spacer give me? .5"?

    Thanks for your help!

ya but i think u will also need longer bolts to accomodate the spacers. it will probably add closer to 3/4"

Thanks for the info everyone!! I'm going to go for the 884 springs, I only want around 2 inches of lift, sounds like the 884's will fit the bill. Thanks again!!

Not to thread jack (although I think OP got his answer already), but i have a question.
I am looking to order an OME lift next week for a 05 AC TRD Sport 4x4. I was thinking of getting the whole package with 885's and the Dakar leaf packs. I do not have the TSB and tend to bottom out with loads. I load up my dirtbikes a lot with related gear, and occasionally my street bike.
What do the educated think about my choice? Advice?
    Thanks TW!
