You should. This trip was the most fun you can have with your clothes on.

Get enough people and renting the hut is really cheap. It was 90$ a person for the whole week.

I'm waiting for my other camera to charge so I can upload some hiking photos

Jace, did they put that FJ you all were building in the Denver Auto Show? I was looking at the Denver Post website and could swear I saw a picture of it or one that looks a helluva lot like it.

Anybody know how I can get a VIN verification done on a bike that is not road-worthy yet? I'm working on getting all of the titles and registrations switched to Colorado for my motorcycles but the Honda is still in pieces and the Circuit Clerk lady was less-than-helpful with my questions  Her advice was pretty much just pay the $100 late fee fine when I get it put back together! I'm sure there has to be another option.

Working all of this week but next weekend the wife is out of town and I'm free for some wheelin or if I get my tags on the bikes and the weather is nice be out de-winterizing the motorcycles

MAN! I am doing the same thing... CO state patrol is the only agency that can do the road worthy check list. BUT IT'S LIKE A 2 WEEK WAIT! So, you can make the appointment and get a temp tag in order to drive it there. I am not sure if the tag is good to drive until then or just the day of the inspection. Lot's of bs with that simple check list.

You don't need the temp tag though to get the VIN verification done I hope. I was planning on riding my other 2 bikes up to the local emissions check place 2 blocks from me with my old Kentucky tags on them ;)

No need for emissions in CO on bikes. The temp tag is so you can ride it to the state patrol office if you can't trailer it. Once you get everything signed off you are good. I did everything for like 300 with tires horn lights... no turn signals needed.

What you are doing though is making a trailbike street legal right? If it is a street bike, I shouldn't have to go through the roadworthy thing, just get a VIN verification done and get the Colorado Title and Registration done. At least that's what I've gathered so far from the DMV requirements.

Yeah I am making a dirt bike street legal. I thought that was what you said you needed. You can go to any police station for the VIN inspection w/o an appointment. That's easy.
