Anybody have any pics of '05+ taco with 3" lift and 33" tires?

Specifically what I'm looking for is pics with the front muflap removed and pics of the front wheel taken at differnt angles (straight, full lock and in between).

In other words I'm trying to find out how close they are to rubbung in the back (on the frame), when wheels are turned at the point the creates the least amount of clearnce to the frame behined the tire.

Need to know what the wheel offset is too.

I know pretty much everybody at least rubs the plastic offroading but with the suspension fully compressed, is it going to hit the frame?

Trying to determin how much if any of the frame would have to be modified to allow a 285/33/16 tires on 8" 4.0 backspaced wheel, to clear the frame with the susupension fully compressed.

if you look at my pics, you should see some diff. angles and my flaps are gone. not close up pics tho.

i rubbed the plastic with no load and no off roading, the plastic nob that hangs down up front and inside of the wheel well. i'll take pics of what i'm talking about tomorrow. that is easy to cut away.

i think i have a 4" offset with my american racing outlaw II rims, but you can look up the specs to make sure.

i don't think you should have to modify the frame at all.

like i said, i'll take pics tomorrow, camera takes crap pics at night.

Thanks for the pics Jackson, that's pretty much exactlly what i was looking for. I believe your wheels are 4.5" backspace somebody else and myself looked it up before, so I would be about 1/2" closer than that. WOW talk about cuting things close LOL

In the pic far left it says bull bar and front with arrows. Is that correct or is that your nerf bars? I thought those welded body mount things that come off of the frame where only on the back side of the wheel, near the cab?

yeah, i knew a couple people looked 'em up before, i think you and jedi, if yours half 1/2" less back spacing it will be VERY close

A question about that pic you have of the clearance from the body/frame mount to the back of the tire with the wheel tuned.

From that angle of that pic, it's hard to see exactlly how much clearance you have between the tire and body mount.

Would you says it's about 1/2"? And or do you think with yours wheels turned at that angle, would clear the body/frame mount, if your suspension was fully compressed? Like if you were to compress your suspension to the point that the mount would be at the centerline of your hubs?

I'm almost positive I will need to get creative with a grinder and a big ass hammer. lol.

Ok first lets see if it will let me upload this pic. Ok it worked but you will need to click and enlarge it to see my art work LOL.

Ok what I was thinking about doing is grinding a 45 degree chamfer indiacted by the blue line, back to about the center line of the body mount bolt/bushing, which is about half the length of the mount (may not even need to go back that far with my offset). Grind that 45 degree chamfer until it grinds away all the weld, to the point to where you can start to see the first hint of daylight, where the two halves were once welded together.

Then grind away the area hilighted in red. Then beat the top half of the body mount into submission, until it gets bent back and lines up with the red line. Then would be a good time to add a weld bead to it too.

    OR

    Just buy 275/70/16 tires:(:mad::D:(

i thought less backspacing meant better clearance?
ok by readin this, am i going to have to do some trimming in front and back with 3 " lift and diff drops on my 05 taco acc cab 4x4 if i want to add rims with -11 offset , 4" backspaceing, and 275/70/16 or 285/75/16 tires? Or rims with 0 offset with 4.5" backspacing?
i know my eyes arent playin tricks on me. i see these wide ass tires on older model tacomas all over the place. much wider then 285.
