It's coming together nicely. I'm dropping off the case and the 4.7's to let him go ahead and get them in, and thursday I'm doing the transfer case swap... back to 2wd status for me :(

Well truck is back to prerunner status... I swapped all my 2wd stuff back in yesterday/today. Talk about one of those days where anything and everything went wrong lol. EL TACOROJO came to pick everything up, my 2hr job turned into a 6hr job... my left spindle, 3 of the 4 bolts were stripped all to hell. So I ended up just taking the whole lower ball joint off to save some time... finished everything up this morning and she's back on the road.

The goal is to have everything ready and for cutting to start around the end of April - early May. I can't wait to get this thing together... the 4.7's are crazy low... the rear brakes wont hold them. On gravel/slick concrete I can hold the brakes and the rear tires will slowly turn themselves without giving it any gas :D

Had some more stuff come in today. I definitely had a moment of realness today, this whole solid axle swap is no longer just b/sing among friends... The only items I have left to get is the coilovers and the coil hangers and the axle mounts. I can't wait to get this thing on the trail to see what it will do.

Anyways... here is what came in today. The oil pan, strainer and strainer gasket all came in. Then when I got home I was happy to see my Marlin Crawler order came in. I got my Spartan front locker, axle rebuild kit and low-pro drain plug from them.

I'm ordering coilovers probably this thursday... that's the last thing I have to get before the swap, other than getting the axle rebuilted/geared/locked. The stuff from Trail-Gear should come in towards the end of the week. I can't wait to get the six shooter knuckles! :D

Thanks man, that means a lot coming from someone with a rig like yours!

My stuff from Trail-Gear came in. I'm very happy about everything except for one thing... I talked to Trail-Gear about the steering shaft. They don't offer it individually on their site, only with a kit. So they were told that EVERYTHING to do the steering shaft swap was needed. They sold me a "steering shaft assembly" which turned out to just be the shaft... so now I have a shaft with no joints. They want an additional $100 a piece + shipping per joint. I was/am a little pissed to say the least. On top of that I asked if they could give me the product number on the joint (I work at a parts house/find it local) and they would just say it's a Borgenson joint (knew that...) This is the first bump I've ran into with the whole swap, other than what steering to run, so I can't complain too much...

Anyways, here's just a few or the things that came in. :D

Damien at M.O.B.S. Fab here in Concord is tough to beat. He good on price and once you see his work you wouldn't let anyone else do it. He a one man shop and he puts all his attention to that one project. I can't say enough about how talented he is, just going to have to find out!

Did you find out which u-joints to use for the steering? Borgeson ones are incorrect from when I ordered them. I had to go to kartek and get the correct ones. Call kartek and ask for BAJA mike he will hook u up.

One of the ujoints from borgeson do work, the one thats closest to the steering box needs to be a
    Kartek 11/32" 29 Spline U-joint
